From dream to reality
I went from being a beginner to a full-time artist in just over 2 years. Art to Business has taught me everything I know about running a business as an artist – and it's a lot (the list would be so long)! I am completely certain that I wouldn't have come as far as I have without them. What I did to get there was that I actually applied all the knowledge in practice. Yes, it's a lot of work – but today, I can say with 100% certainty that it was worth it.
When I got in touch with Art to Business, I hadn't been painting for many months, but I had received positive feedback on my creations. The small comments created some butterflies in my stomach, and thoughts had started swirling: "Could I sell this?" Can I even sell enough to work with art full-time?"
Of course, you begin to wonder, "Others have succeeded, but how do you do it?" I didn't have any contacts in the art world, and everything felt so new and confusing. By chance, I came into contact with Art to Business, and on a purely personal level, I had a good feeling about the people behind A2B, their high expertise, and the impressive journey that the founder and full-time artist, Amanda, had undertaken. I simply felt that these were people I would get along with and would like to receive help from.
So, for me, there was no doubt that A2B was the right fit for me, and I joined as soon as the opportunity arose. I have never regretted it.
What I love most about Art to Business Portal is our fantastic community. It’s like a safe place where no question is strange, and everyone is open and encouraging. It’s inspiring to hear how others are doing things and it gives you the energy to keep working towards the goal. It's so much easier to work towards a goal in a group than to be alone in your chamber - there is always someone who will lift you up when you’re feeling down. The pacing is good, with a new topic every month, followed by a digital meeting with all participants. All this motivates you to have implemented what you've learned before that meeting.
I would definitely recommend Art to Business to artists who dream of living off their passion! It's so much easier when someone who has already made the journey shows the way. Why spend hours googling when you can have it served to you? What you learn works if you actually make the decision and then work for it. Plus, you do it together with others who are on the same journey as you!
